Final Fantasy IV Receives European Release Date
The launch of Final Fantasy IV for the DS in Europe was inevitable. After all, the game had hit shelves in Japan last December and reached American shores on July 22nd. Always being the last to receive the latest games is the very unfortunate down side to the European gaming world, but Final Fantasy IV will be reaching their hands this September 5th.
Final Fantasy IV is a remake of the ever popular 1991 Super NES game. However, this time, the graphics have been completely redone in 3D. That’s just the tip of the iceberg too, as the game has received fully voiced cut scenes, a completely remixed/redone soundtrack, a total re-haul of the game format and control scheme to take advantage of the Nintendo DS, and never before seen content that will captivate old and new fans of Final Fantasy IV a like.
If that hasn’t made the game appealing enough to those of you able to buy it already or those waiting to do so, Square Enix’s president and CEO, John Yamamoto, had this to say about the game “Final Fantasy IV is one of the most significant titles in the history of the Final Fantasy franchise. It has been remarkably enhanced for the Nintendo DS, making it a great opportunity for our fans to experience its deep story and ground-breaking battle system in an exciting and innovative new way.”
