In the Highland Town of Cyril there is located one special original Monster Bank. Therefore is only one Monster Bank in Ivalice. The main purpose of the Cyril Monster Bank is to hold and store Field Monsters; i.e.(Flan, Antilions etc.). However many you can capture, there is a limit of TWENTY (20) monsters that can be captured that can be stored in the Cyril Monster Bank. There is no special item or ability that any Human, Viera, Bangaa, Moogle or Nou Mou can use to capture any monsters. The Ability that is required is the 'Capture' Ability that is learned from the Hunter Jobset. The Hunter's Capture ability, as well as the Hunter Job can only be learned by Humans.

To capture a monster, you can simply use the ability Capture and target a suitable monster target. However, when a monster has high HP left, there is little chance that you will succeed in capturing the monster. The best strategy would be to weaken the monster as much as you can. Try using the Paladin Ability; Subdue, it successfully weakens the monster slowly and effectively without downing the monster. As well, get behind the monster to increase the chances to capture the monster. Using the Ability Concentrate; Support Ability, will allow the effective chance that the capture ability will work.

Once you capture a monster, head over th Cyril Monster Bank and you can view your monsters. From then, you can view the monsters and you can play and feed them items. Different items will have a different effect on the specific monster. More powerful items will have a freater effect, and some will increase the Monsters Rating of you. Using The Same items to give to the Monster will effect the effectiveness of your item-sharing. So try to diverse the items that are given.
