FFCC: Echoes of Time Unveiled
Here’s a great bit of news for you Final Fantasy fans out there. A few days ago, a new Crystal Chronicles title was announced, but even better, it can be played on the Wii and the DS, at the same time! The featured Wii/DS connection allows you to play the game with up to four players using the different character classes, both locally and online. This is made possible by the Pollux Engine which was created by Square Enix for this specific purpose. Of course, the two versions will have different gameplay due to their difference in controls, as the DS stylus would be unable to do some the same things the Wii Remote can do.
There hasn’t been much revealed about the storyline yet, but what we do know is that the story will center around 16 year old Charlotta, who leaves her village for the first time to encounter a massive tower and an odd crystal. That’s about all we know, but another juicy bit of information os that you can transfer your Mii character’s faces you made on the Wii to the DS version of the game. The game is scheduled to be released on January 29th, 2009. This game should be a nice addition to your collection, especially if you decide to get the new DSi.
