Materia, is a new system to earlier Final Fantasies, the system uses orbs or spheres called Materia, which allows the Character to gain abilites such as Fire or Ultima or even the ability to Summon. Although magic is the more thought of Materia, different colors of Materia determine the effect or grouping of each materia. There are five different types of Materia, each materia types, Magic, Summon, Indepedent, Support, and Command Each Materia Type has a specific color identity to them, and each materia is different, and has different growth requirements.
