Final Fantasy XIII
crystallis mythos
Final Fantasy XIII is a tale of souls from a futuristic civilization illuminated by the Light of the Crystal, but that's just the Square Enix summary. Being the epicenter of the Fabula Nova Crystallis: Final Fantasy XIII project is certainly a big thing. Final Fantasy XIII is the main, if you can say: only real Final Fantasy title in Fabula Nova Crystallis. Why? Because it's the only contiunation of the real numbered Final Fantasy sequence. None of that Final Fantasy X-2 or Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children here. Using something as old and futuristic as a government-controlled crystal powered world has to mean that Square Enix is combining the old retro Crystals from the original Final Fantasies and the some of the newer futuristic styles from Final Fantasy VII or whatever, making it one hell of a Final Fantasy.
battle system
According to Square Enix, Final Fantasy XIII will use a revamped version of the Active Time Battle System that originated in previous Final Fantasies. The game will use basically seemless actions to make it seem nearly real time aparently, and will be highly active with a lot of running and crazy battles.
rumored plot
Rumors from Jump Festa 2007 revealed that the world of Final Fantasy XIII takes place in a government-controlled location called the Coccon, which is a floating fortress. The world below is known as Pulse, and those who are cast out of the Coccon exist. The crystals exist in the world below known as Pulse. The crystals were used to control the people of Pulse into working in the Coccon.

Since the downized E3 is none too fitting for another major announcement, it would only seem fitting to announce something new at the 2007 Tokyo Game Show. As we've already gotten the previous years' Tokyo Game Show trailer, although this isn't set in stone, but we possibly can get a glimpse of a new trailer, as well as new characters. If we could see more characters, and even more of the Battle system, it would be absolutely great.
