Races in Final Fantasy XII, defines the appearence of encounters in Final Fantasy XII. In the game, your party will encounter many different people of different races, and each different race can define what people can enform you about the situation of the current time.

Humes : In the world of Ivalice, Humans are refered to as Humes. A Hume is typically higher in intellgence than other races, they vary from body structure and intellgence as well. While social standards of Ivalice has caused disputes on the equilvance and social hierarchy of the Humes and other anthropoid races. Although these other races have prefered to not show themselves Humes, many still regard them as the control race of Ivalice.

Vieras : Regarded as the people of the Forest, Vieras are tall and slender, they are divided into two different ethnicities. Veena Viera, and Rava Viera. Veena Vieras have no real difference, but the color of their skin, which is paler than Ravas, most refer to the color as 'white,' but the color of skin is mostly light pink. Rava Vieras have a dark brown skin color. Since the anicent homeland of the Vieras was destoryed over 450 years ago, some portions of the population of Vieras have intergrated with the Hume population, becoming some half-Viera and Half-Hume race. Some Pure-Blood Viera continue to live in the Forest.

Moogles : Widely known througout Ivalice as the small race. Moogles are typically almost smaller than all other races, but in spite of their size, Moogles have high intellgence, said to rival the Humes. With their extreme intellegence, Moogles have been said to create the first airship. Moogles are extremely skilled in engineering. Moogles was said to learn the ultimate technology called Etoria. Moogle-Technology has been used in many wars, againist other Moogles and other races alike.

Bangaas : Evolving from common Lizards, Bangaas are essentially the same size as Humes, with the exception of the their lizard-like qualities. There are four different ethnicties of Bangaa, Bangaa-Ruga have yellow-brown skin with short ears are more gentle than the other bangaas, making them instructors or monks. Bangaa-Faas have bronze skin with great athletic abilities. In the bangaa language, Faas means soldier and they have a strong sense of justice. Bangaa-Bista with their copper skin; Bangaa-Sanga have ash grey skin. While there are four kinds of bangaas, there are also mixed bangaas of different decent. Banqaas that offense to anyone that calls them a 'lizard' it is considered a racial slur to them, and they usually respone with rage.

Seeq : Similiar to the Bangaas, Seeq's evolved from Pigs, Seeqs are smaller than Vieras but bigger than Moggles, and about the same as Humes. Seeqs are typically large, and their average intellect is not very high. Although lacking the intellectgence to become skilled in engineering like the Moogles, but they are very skilled in brute combat, and make agile and strong guards or mercenaries. Seeqs have no morals for themselves, some in fact do become thieves.
