Battle System - Action Dimension Battle
Instead of previous Final Fantasy Battle Systems, the Final Fanatasy XII battle system is much different, similar to the Final Fantasy XI Online battle system, the battles are no longer turn-based or has the Active Time battle aspect to the battles. In attempting to be similiar to a more 'Kingdom Hearts' or 'Star Ocean : Til The End Of Time' battle system, the Active Dimension Battle system is a battle system that has no limitations in terms of when you choose to attack, unlike previous Final Fantasies. The ADB (Active Dimension Battle) system will require the players to think quickly and use high-level intellgence. In FF12 the enivroments are intergrated into the Battle, so topography and where the battle takes place will greatly affect how a player battles. The entire Game is in battle, there is no longer a need of when a enemy is going to come next, you can easily see to enemies from a distance, and you can choose to avoid or battle. There is also no battle transitions and there is no Victory pose. If your three-partu members are knocked-out, then the game doesn't end with a 'Game Over', you are transfered into a screen where you can choose other party members that are still available to use in battle, and then you can continue your game, but if all of your party is knocked-out then you cannot continue then it is 'Game Over.'
