Dresspheres are essentially the subsitute for the ability and job system. They are the only way to gain more abilites and have enough power to complete different missions, without requiring more characters like in previous Final Fantasies. Similar to a job system, the Dresspheres are like jobs that can be changed in Battle and off the Battle. Unlike most battles the Dressphere System is similar to the Sphere Grid system, the Dresspheres are arranged between grids known as Garment Grids that can be accessed during battles to switch between dresspheres to change your abilities and effectiveness to engage in battle.

Apart from regular Dresspheres, there are three special Dresspheres for each corresponding character. These special Dresspheres takes out the party members that aren't using their special Dresspheres, which means that you can only use one special Dressphere at one time. Yuna's special Dressphere is Floral Fallal, Riku's is Machina Maw and Paine's is the Full Throttle. Below is a full list of all Dresspheres in Final Fantasy X-2.
