Mini Medals are essentially rare items, they are of no usage to you and your party to amplify nor to enhance anything about your characters. They are simply Medals that are hidden throughout the world of Dragon Quest VIII, but they are of importance, further or one point during the game, you will be able to use the number of medals you have collected to obtain a prize from the Princess. You can only access the Princess and have the ability to gain prizes, once you have to ship, and vist an island with a castle and there inside is the Princess.
